I’ve interviewed my children for this blog three times now. That makes it an official tradition, right?
Time to do it again. Here is the 2017 edition of Interview with my children.

What is the best thing about having me as your mum?
7yo: You’re the best!
4yo: You’re the best!
What is the worst thing about having me as your mum?
4yo: Nothing! I like you and I love you.
7yo: Nothing!
What’s mummy’s worst habit?
4yo: Eating some of my chips when we have chips.
7yo: Yelling at me when I’m naughty.
What’s mummy’s best habit?
4yo: Playing with me.
7yo: Cuddles and kisses and playing.
What do you admire about mummy?
4yo: She’s good at playing.
7yo: She’s beautiful.
4yo: BOOTIFUL!
Why do you love mummy?
4yo: Because you’re soft and huggable and I love you up to space.
7yo: She’s the best.
What do you like about being a kid?
4yo: PLAYING! Of course!
7yo: I get to go to school!
What do you dislike about being a kid?
4yo: Being rude.
7yo: Nothing!
What is your favourite thing to do with mummy?
4yo: Play at the park.
7yo: Play everywhere! Including a volcano! HAHA! Just kidding! That would actually be scary. Don’t take me to a volcano.
What is your favourite thing to eat for dinner?
4yo: Sausages!
7yo: And pizza. And seafood pasta.
4yo: Ooh, yeah, mussel pasta because then I get big muscles.
Guess what’s for dinner tonight?
7yo: What? What is it? Is it seafood pasta? HAHA! That’s so funny!
4yo: YAY! MUSSEL PASTA! *flexes arms*
Why is mummy lucky to have you as her children?
4yo: Because I’m special.
7yo: Because she loves me. She loves us.
4yo: Yeah and she likes us too.
Is there anything else you’d like to say about your mummy?
4yo: No! Is it finished now? Good. I love you, mummy. *cuddles*
7yo: She. Is. The. Best. Mummy. In. The. Whole. Wide. World.
Later…
7yo: Mum, have you put our answers on your website yet? Can I choose the photo? I like that one. *kisses*

WOW. Talk about an ego boost. Thanks, kids. I love you both all the way around the world eleventy billion times. Plus infinity.
Have you interviewed your children? How would they answer these questions?
Previous interviews with my children: 2016, 2015 (the dad edition), 2014
Nawwww, how cute are they!! I hope they enjoyed their pasta!
They did! They still are – I cooked loads!
Awww bless!!! Mussel pasta for the muscles lol. Love it!!!
He has always made that connection and I will always love it!
Mussels for muscles haha. And I guess no family holidays to Hawaii if volcanos are a no-no 🙂
Oh no! Perhaps as long as we don’t go IN the volcano.
Gorgeous! I must admit I have not had mussel pasta before but I wanna try yours now! 🙂
Apparently it’s really good! 😉
Oh how so very sweet. I’m glad you’re posting this where they can be kept safe and not get lost. When they are 14 and 17 the answers might be different….like “Oh Mum, you’re so embarrassing!”. I charge “Mummy Tax” on all packets requiring my help, or when I buy chips and they don’t want to share. Mummy Tax is mandatory (and a good life lesson!).
My son walked in my classroom this morning and said “I need your charger and I need your money”. My response was “Is this a stick up?” My students love it when my actual kids hang out with us, even for a moment to stick Mum up for money.
Yes, I might not want to post the answers by then! Too incriminating!
What a lovely blog post! This is such a cute interview! I’m now curious as to how my 17 year olds and 14 year old would answer these questions.

I’d read that post! Let me know if you decide to do it.
It was so cool to read their answers. I love the way in which Miss 7 does her best to have accurate answers and Master 4 wants to make you and his sister laugh. Great to see you blogging again.
Yes, brief though their answers were, it captured them well! Funny kids.
