It’s the little things that count

November 22, 2011 By Emily 5 Comments

Apologies: I’m having a bit of a cliché week. But I figure they become clichés for a reason!

Cam has the little things down pat. When he gets home from work, I get the first kiss and cuddle before he turns his full attention to Ashleigh. If he stays up later than I do, he switches the TV to SBS before switching it off, knowing that the next show I’ll watch will be Letters and Numbers the following evening.

Ashleigh is good at them without realising it. If I hurt myself, she kisses me better. And in a recent happy accident, while playing with letters in a play mat at a friend’s house, she brought me a certain combination and gave me a cuddle:

She loves me!

Hi! I’m Emily

I parent. I write. I blog. I play with words and numbers in my head. Constantly. It's crowded in there.
