- A big spell of sleeplessness.
- Another big spell of sleeplessness.
- Accepting that sleeplessness may just be my life now.
- The book The Green Mile.
- The book Under the Dome (I’m extremely late to the Stephen King party).
- My husband sustaining a back injury.
- My husband sustaining said back injury during what was supposed to be his holiday.
- My husband’s back injury preventing him from being able to do anything during his holiday.
- My husband’s back injury meaning that I had to do everything during his holiday. EVERYTHING.
- Feeling guilty for having the above thought. Because doing more is not as bad as searing pain.
But none of those produced hysterical sobs. Not like this one:
- Winning a year’s supply of Tim Tam Chocolicious Bites! YAY! But… not getting the email until AFTER the claim period had passed. And therefore MISSING OUT ON A YEAR’S SUPPLY OF TIM TAM CHOCOLICIOUS BITES.
So no real post from me today. I’m still sobbing into my Milo. My Milo that has no accompanying Tim Tam deliciousness. SOB SOB SOB.
What has made you cry this month? Would you cry over spilt milk missing Tim Tams?
Claire Hewitt says
OH NO!!!
This is a disaster, the back pain could have been eased with the tim tams and all would have been right with the world.
Emily says
It IS a disaster! Although not for that reason – hubby didn’t win them, I did. They would have been mine!
joeh says
I’m guessing your husbands back pain added to that sleeplessness thing
Emily says
Yeah, there was no poking him at 4.00 to go and have a turn at settling bub!
Vanessa says
Lack of sleep always makes me cry! I get frustrated so much quicker and everything seems worse.
Emily says
Yep. I’m certainly quicker to yell when I’m tired. Poor kids!
Me says
It sounds like you have lots of good reasons to cry. I would definitely be crying over the missing Tim Tams although (for me) secretly I would be pleased because I definitely don’t need a years worth of TTs !!
I hope your husband feels better soon – back ache is a really horrible thing to suffer from.
I haven’t cried for a while but I can feel a big cry coming on soon if nothing positive happens with our house / we don’t get the house we want because of a great building inspector ! (I Know that sounds like gibberish but he has picked up stuff we didn’t see and it may be the turning point on the deal – and, it’s definitely better to find out before we buy it rather than after !!)
Sending heaps of positive energy your way !
Me
Emily says
Thanks. Oh yes, I miss those Tim Tams. Although have since discovered it was 52 packets so not a year’s supply for this over-eater! Hubby’s still not recovered, but feeling much better.
I hope the house works out best for you, one way or another!
Six Little Hearts says
OMG! Before I even opened your post and saw the title I quickly thought about how my own insomnia had been setting me up for tears the last two weeks! And as for the Tim Tams – that’s horrible beyond belief!!!! Unforgettable – I am crying for you!! Did they offer a small token for you?? If not, forward this blog post to their PR and see if they will feel some chocolate love! xx
Emily says
No small token. And no – I’ve been emailing them about it (for other reasons – mainly because I don’t understand how they could fail to notify me via the other means I provided) but I’m not after anything. Just feedback.
Lauren Matheson says
Oh No!! I feel like crying for you… surely they can swing you a least a couple of packs as a consolation? Hoping your husband is feeling better x
Emily says
Thank you! No consolation packs, but my next post gives some hints as to how I’m dealing with it! x
Janet Camilleri says
Oh that is just cruel! I’d almost rather NOT know I’d won, than to find out too late. Spewin!
Visiting today from #teamIBOT xxx
Emily says
Yep, I wish I hadn’t found out until months later instead of HOURS later. Then I’d shrug and know for sure that I had missed out!
Renee Wilson says
Oh Emily!!!! Knowing what a chocoholic you are I feel like crying for you! It’s for the best my friend. For the best. Nobody needs a year supply of Tim Tams. Sorry to hear about your hubby though. I hope he gets better soon and can share some of the load with you. Sending sleepy nights your way!
Emily says
Thanks Renee! We’ve had a few sleepful nights! It worked! YOU ROCK!
Emma Fahy Davis says
Oh no! Tim Tams so close and yet so far!
Emily says
SO VERY FAR. Sob.
Aroha @ Colours of Sunset says
oh the tim tams! maybe it’s a good thing you saw that late. who needs a year’s supply of tim tams! imagine how much exercise you’d have to do after eating all those?! silver lining Em, silver lining. Hope hubster’s back is better STAT!
Emily says
Haha, a lot of people are saying that! Perhaps my metabolism ain’t what it used to be?! I love me a silver lining. x
Emily @ Have A Laugh On Me says
I give you permission to have a pity party for one, those are some serious issues to cry about, especially the Time Tams, I mean, hubby’s back. My hubby had major back accident, he’s never been his same old self, hope it’s not permanent xxx
Emily says
I hope not too, but we’re onto the x-rays now, so we’ll see! I hope your hubby’s back is holding up. x
Bron Maxabella says
Waaaaaaaah!
This makes me feel so much better for crying (no WEEPING hysterically) for two nights in a row because my children are robots who do not sleep. Sigh. Gets me every time. So worn out.
Sorry to hear about your husbie. Hope he’s better now. Back pain sux big time (but so does having to pick up the slack so don’t feel to bad about feeling bad!!).
x
Emily says
ROBOTS. Even robots need recharging. Go to sleep robot people!
Thank you x
