As with the saying ‘it never rains but it pours‘, ‘what goes around comes around’ is generally used in a negative sense. Do something bad or mean, and something bad or mean will happen to you.
But it can also be positive. Do something nice or friendly, and something nice or friendly will happen to you.
I recently blogged about giving positive feedback when I thought Jetstar staff had gone above and beyond to help us on a recent flight. They were grateful to receive the call, and promised to recognise the staff involved. Today, I received a voucher to use on a flight in the next twelve months. Completely unexpected, and unnecessary. But woohoo!
