3+1=4

October 29, 2012 By Emily 10 Comments

A post demonstrating my mathematical geniosity?

Not so much.

A post making up cool words like geniosity?

A little bit. It’s a frabulously superific word, in my opinion. But not the main point.

A post to announce something?

Yep!

And I’m sure those of you who have spotted the ‘I heart family’ tag have already worked it out.

Baby. Tummy. Mine.

I’m pregnant!

I’m so excited… and I just can’t hide it (metaphorically and physically).

I could write about how awful I’ve been feeling. How hard it’s been to keep it a secret the second time around. How tired I’ve been. How much I’ve felt like a bad mum when my sickness and tiredness have kept Ashleigh housebound.

And had her watching Play School a lot more than I would like.

I could write about a lot of stuff like that. But I’ll save it.

I’ll just write about how excited we are. How we already can’t wait to meet the little miss or mister who will take the next place in our family. How totally and completely thrilled to bits we are.

A ‘we’ which includes Ashleigh. She is very excited about becoming a big sister. And, while I had ideally wanted our children to be closer in age, I love that at her age, she actually does have some appreciation of what it is going to be like to be a big sister.

Time to stop this drivel. I apologise for what is probably the most aimless, wishy-washy post I’ve ever written.

But it’s a post full of joy. Two was delightful, loving company, and three’s been crowded with more happiness than I could ever have imagined. I can’t wait to see what four brings to our family.

I don’t know what to ask here! How are you? What’s news? What do you think of the word geniosity?

I will apply to the Macquarie Dictionary. Perhaps it can be part of the new words being released next year. Misogyny, geniosity…

Yay! We are very excited for the three of you and look forward to bub’s arrival. What fun blog posts you will have to write when there is another addition to your family – double the writing material for your blog posts!!

Thanks Carla! I imagine the first few after bub is born will be about how sleep is more important than blogging. With not much more content!
