Trust and respect

September 26, 2017 By Emily 12 Comments

You expect
Trust
And respect
But return none

We reject
Your brand of ‘fun’

You use
You abuse
You lie
Our kids cry

We ask why
You deny
We all lose

We’re done

Ashes to ashes
Dust to dust

A memory flashes
Gathers rust
And crashes

You cannot resurrect
Respect
And trust

They’re bust
Gone

Goodbye

There is a lot of pain in those words, but how beautifully you have put them together. Much love xxx

So so sorry about how this has all gone. But your words..they are marvellous and I hope, in their own way, healing. Love to you. D xx

Thanks, Sarah – it has helped a lot. Most of this sort of stuff was written months ago – couldn’t publish until I felt comfortable with it being out in the world. x

Oh Em! Sending you big hugs. The planets must of aligned of late as I can relate to the pressures. Hoping it all dissolves one day – we’ll drink champagne when it does xx #teamIBOT
